The Ryerson women’s volleyball opened their season with a bang, beating the Guelph Gryphons in straight sets (25-16, 25-21, 25-15). Aside from early in the second set, Ryerson led and controlled the whole game.
“We played excellent,” Ryerson head coach Dustin Reid said. “At key points we were really good in our execution.”
The Rams quickly got up 6-2 in the first set with Veronica Livingston bringing her signature power and rookie Theanna Vernon using her 6’0 height to block the Gryphons’ attackers.
