Alex Ovechkin took time from all of his partying to thank everyone who helped him become a champion with a post on Instagram.
The Washington Capitals clinched the first Stanley Cup in franchise history Thursday with a 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5.
Ovechkin, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, has been celebrating ever since with videos popping up all over social media showing him and the Capitals bringing the Stanley Cup to a Washington Nationals game and swimming with it in a fountain.
