The Baltimore Orioles are fielding offers from seven teams for all-star infielder Manny Machado, according to Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun.
“The Orioles have received offers from the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, Brewers, Phillies, Braves, Indians and Cubs, and those offers rank in that order,” Encina wrote, citing an industry source. The source added that all offers are “very close,” but that the Dodgers “currently appear to have the best offer on the table” with the Diamondbacks not far behind.
Machado, 26, has been attached to trade rumours all season with the Orioles not in a playoff race and the third baseman turned shortstop expected to test the free agent market at the end of the season.
